Why exercise makes you feel and look better

In my Asheville Fairview Chiropractic office I recommend very specific exercises for my patients conditions.  I also tell them to do regular exercises like walking and what I often get back is this.  ”Dr. Stockstad  I know I should exercises but I just do not have the time.  I just don’t like it because it gets me sore.”  and this list of excuses seems to be with out end.  Yet when we look deeper in to they why we might want to exercises I find many of those individuals will eventually find one that they can use to get them off of their proverbial buttocks and enjoy a new found love with so many benefits.

So what are the benefits of regular exercise.

  • It lowers cholesterol and high blood pressure
  • Helps poor blood circulation
  • Prevents osteoporosis
  • Lowers inflammation in your body
  • Makes weight loss easier
  • Increases your energy level and stamina
  • Keep your mind sharp and increases your ability to concentrate
  • It help to enhancer your mood
  • It is a proven to be more effective than drugs in relieving depression

Now don’t start your starting your  new exercise regime on the wrong foot so to speak.  I recommend that before you begin that you get a chiropractic evaluation to see if you have good balance and to check for any preexisting joint or spinal problems. This can make all the difference and enhance your benefits and enjoyment of life and exercises.   Chiropractic care improves athletic performance, decreases pain and discomfort by restoring more normal range of motion, flexibility,  improving  posture which all leads to an increases your energy level.

Ok,  Now lets get going and do some exercise.  Start small and work your self up to more.
